Police are investigating two homicides in the Charlotte area last night.
CMPD says a man was shot and killed at an apartment complex in west Charlotte. The department says officers responding to a call of assault with a deadly weapon around 8:15 p.m. found 20-year-old Juordan Malik Hill with a gunshot wound inside an apartment.
It happened at 2400 Pruitt Street off of Wilkinson Boulevard. He was pronounced dead at the scene. CMPD says it appears Hill was shot in the parking lot of the complex and then ran inside.
In Cornelius, police say it appears a man was shot and killed at an apartment complex around midnight. The Cornelius Police Department says officers found the man while responding to a report of shots fired at the Admirals Quarters complex off Nautical Drive.
Police believe at least two other parties were involved. The department did not release any additional details.
