3 More Homicides Tues. Night Brings 2017 Total To 46

Charlotte Mecklenburg Police are investigating three more homicides, which happened about a half-hour apart Tuesday night.

Two men were found dead of gunshot wounds at an apartment in the NoDa area. Officers were called around 11:30 p.m. for a report of gunfire at 420 Hilo Drive, off North Tryon Street.  One man was found in an apartment stairwell, the other just inside a doorway.  Both victims were pronounced dead at the scene. 

The men have been identified as Jared Chatman, 29, and Sanchez McClure, 30. CMPD says the shootings appear to be drug-related. 

At around 11:05 p.m. in east Charlotte, police responded to a call about a man shot in east Charlotte. The man was found dead in the front seat of a car in a yard on Eastwycke Place, off Hickory Grove Road. He has been identified as David Sean Lindsay, 29. 

CMPD says it's seeking witnesses in both shootings.
