Police have charged a former security guard at Alexander Graham Middle School in Charlotte with sexually assaulting a 13-year-old girl at the school.
CMPD arrested 26-year-old Mario McIlwain yesterday. McIlwain is accused of sexually assaulting the girl multiple times between February and May of this year. Police began investigating him last month after the teen’s mother told police about an incident that had occurred between her daughter and McIlwain.
He’s charged with nine counts of sex act by custodian, seven counts of statutory rape, two counts of statutory sex offense and nine counts of indecent liberties with a child.
