CMPD: Teenager Shot To Death In East Charlotte

A teenager was shot and killed Monday in east Charlotte.

Charlotte-Mecklenburg police say officers found 15-year-old Roman Kichigin inside a vehicle in a neighborhood off Milton Road just after 5 p.m. He was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

No information about what could have led to the deadly shooting has been released. An 18-year-old, Clifton Trimaine Stanfill, has been charged with murder in the case. 

CMPD says Kichigin was shot in the parking lot of a nearby apartment complex. N

His death is the 36th homicide reported by police in Charlotte this year. There were 107 last year.
