Citing 'Unintended Consequences,' GOP Sen. Tarte Calls For HB 2 To Be Repealed

Political leaders, economic leaders – really, anyone with an opinion on House Bill 2 – will be paying close attention to Charlotte City Council Monday night to see if it will rescind its expansion to the city’s non-discrimination ordinance. 

State Senate Leader Phil Berger and House Speaker Tim Moore say there’s enough support in the General Assembly to kill House Bill 2 if the city acts first. Morning Edition Host Marshall Terry talks with Republican State Senator Jeff Tarte about why he thinks it's time for both sides to reset.
