Banktown Author Rothacker Discusses Book
Two years ago this week, Charlotte was immersed in turmoil. The nation's financial system was crumbling, and the number two banking city was in the thick of it. Bank of America had just purchased a damaged Merrill Lynch. Weeks later, Wachovia teetered on the brink of failure and was swallowed by Wells Fargo. Rick Rothacker was covering it all for The Charlotte Observer. Now, he's written a book. It's called Banktown: The Rise and Struggles of Charlotte's Big Banks.
