HELP SHAPE THE FUTURE OF WFAE

About WFAE’s Legacy Society

In addition to giving cash and securities that support WFAE, a growing number of supporters are choosing to make planned gifts that ensure our future as a reliable source of news across the Carolinas.

There are many ways to make a planned gift and many reasons for giving. Some of our donors want to provide support for a specific genre of programming – science, health, the arts, or local news, for example. Others believe WFAE should have the flexibility to develop projects in response to emerging opportunities. Planned gifts ensure WFAE’s ability to continue to create and deliver media that is free and accessible to all. Explore the various ways you can help shape the future of WFAE below.

Ways to Give:

  • Bequest: For many donors, the optimal way to make a planned gift to WFAE is through a bequest or other testamentary provision. If you have already included WFAE is your estate plans, you may share that information with us in our non-binding Declaration of Future Intent form.
  • Beneficiary Designations: It’s easy to put your bank accounts, retirement funds, savings bonds, and more to impact the future of public media by educating and inspiring through WFAE.
  • IRA Charitable Rollover: You can transfer funds from your IRA directly to WFAE and demonstrate your commitment to fostering an active and informed citizenry.

Before Making Your Gift

Planned gifts should be considered carefully. We recommend that you consult an attorney, financial advisor, or estate planning expert in preparing your will or trust. WFAE does not provide legal or tax advice, but we are able to provide sample language for your use with planning.

Are you interested in leaving a legacy for future generations to enjoy public radio news and content, no matter the platform? For more information, please contact Robert or Amy or you can return our non-binding Declaration of Future Intent form.
