CMPD Investigating Homicide After Man, Woman Found Dead In Car In North Charlotte

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police is conducting a homicide investigation after a man and a woman were found dead in a car in north Charlotte on Saturday morning.

CMPD said it received a call at 6:50 a.m. about a car down an embankment in the 1400 block of Atando Avenue. When officers arrived, they found  Siojvon Joseph and Asa Shannon, both 35, inside the car, already dead.

The deaths would be the second and third homicides of 2020 in Charlotte.
