The winner of WFAE's Queen City PodQuesthas been crowned. Mike Collins sits down with two members of the winning team, and Joni Deutsch during the hour.
The Queen City PodQuest, WFAE’s search for the next great podcast from Charlotte residents, concluded Saturday.
After receiving more than 370 podcast submissions from the Charlotte-area, more than 31,000 individuals cast almost 100,000 votes to narrow the podcast pitches to the top five. The winning team, Work It, was announced on Saturday in front of a live audience for the PodQuest Live Finale.
We sit down with Joni Deutsch, who managed the PodQuest and who waded through all the submissions, and two members of Work It to discuss what went into finding the winner, what makes a good podcast, the team’s vision for their own podcasting future, and how podcasting is flavoring our city’s culture.
