The G-8 meeting in Germany ended Friday with the host, German Chancellor Angela Merkel, claiming some progress on combating global warming. There was also a sudden and surprising improvement in U.S.-Russia relations.
President Bush now heads off for the rest of his European tour, going first to Poland to talk about missile defense, and then to Italy.
