The volatility of Bank of America's stock has made it a favorite target of high-frequency computer trading, the Wall Street Journal reports: A tumultuous month for the banking group, peppered with troublesome rumors, asset sales and an investment from Berkshire Hathaway, have made its shares a more attractive target for trading algorithms designed to capture profits from the tiniest price movements. Since late July, stock turnover has more than doubled. At times, it's been traded more than any other U.S. security, the WSJ reports.
