The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Library system will close all of its branches for five days next month, starting on April 18. The closure is for the library system to transition to a new software system for managing its book catalog and checkouts. Other services such as issuing new library cards and putting holds on books will also be affected periodically through April. The library expects to return to normal service on May 5.
