Union of Concerned Scientists & The Catawba River The Union of Concerned Scientists is a group a researchers at schools and laboratories around the world who have organized in order to speak out on issues such as climate change and conservation. A report due out this week will focus in part on the Catawba River. Researchers are starting to see it as a threatened river due to climate change and high usage by utilities supplying power to Charlotte and the region. Two of those scientists are coming to town to present the report but first they join us to talk about our most important natural resource and how to save it.
