Part One: Deadline The Movie Local magazine publisher and author Mark Ethridge wrote his first book a few years ago, based on real events he drew from his days as a newspaper reporter. That book was made into a major motion picture that is about to have its premiere in Charlotte. We'll talk about how the book Grievances has become the movie Deadline, and Mark's role in transforming his book to the screen. Guest Mark Ethridge - President of Carolina Parenting, Inc. He wrote the book Grievances, which is being made into a feature film, Deadline. His second book, Fallout, was just released by New South Books. About the Deadline premiere Watch the trailer for Deadline Part Two: Habitat and Goodwill Join Forces For the first time in the history of their organizations, Goodwill and Habitat for Humanity are working together on a project. The groups are working with the City of Charlotte to renovate a vacant house in Charlotte's Villa Heights Community that they hope will be a model of energy efficiency in affordable housing. We'll talk about how the organizations are making it happen, and why this collaboration may end up as a model for other cities.
