Johnson C. Smith University (JCSU), invites all families to the fifth anniversary of "An Evening with Santa and Mrs. Claus". Unfortunately due to COVID-19 we are not able to meet in person for our FREE, one-night holiday event so this year we will be bringing Santa into your homes by way of "Zoom"! For one full week starting from December 7-10th in the evenings and on the weekend (afternoon and evening) your family will have an opportunity to sign up to meet with Santa "one-on- one" for 5 minutes on a ZOOM video call. When meeting with Santa on ZOOM your child will have an opportunity to "tell Santa what they would like for Christmas". Afterwards, Santa and your child will end the night by singing his favorite Christmas song “Rudolph The Red Nose Reindeer”. If you would like for Santa to share about the Birth of Jesus he will be happy to do so (optional and by request). All the calls will be recorded for quality purposes and after the call is over Santa will send your child a letter in the mail. On the letter there will be a QR code that will allow you and your child to enjoy the experience. Parents, Santa did not forget about you for taking the time to sign your family up.Your name will be placed in "Raffle Giveaway" and during the course of that week, three $50.00 gift cards will be given out if your name is drawn. Santa will give you a call and you will receive your card in the mail. Being that we are celebrating our fifth year anniversary we are happy to announce that Smart Start of Mecklenburg County, Dolly Parton Imagination Library, and Read Charlotte will be hosting a VIP event called “A Gift from Santa". This is an event where the families that sign up for the ZOOM visits get a chance to the Drive-thru the beautiful campus of Johnson C. Smith University, and Santa and friends will hand out books to the kids when they are in the car. We are so excited to bring this event to you and your family we know that in the past several months, our country has faced unprecedented changes that have affected some of us mentally, physically, and emotionally so we wanted to make sure that we could create an opportunity to bring some joy to your family this holiday season.
