The Charlotte Pride Band under the artistic direction of John Stanley Ross presents "A Celebration of Diversity." Mr. Ross is director of bands at Appalachian State University. The concert is Saturday, March 12, 2022, at 4pm in Charlotte's Park Road Church, 3900 Park Rd. Guest soloist is Victor Wang, principal flutist of the Charlotte Symphony Orchestra. The band will perform music by a diverse array of composers including Kevin Day, Carolyn Bremer, Aaron Copland, Jennifer Higdon, Clare Grundman and Cecile Chaminade. The band is composed of approximately 50 members of greater Charlotte’s LGBTQ community and ally supporters. Tickets are $20 for individuals and $35 for families and are available online at www.charlotteprideband.org/tickets. At the door, all audience members (12yo and older) must show Proof of Vaccination OR Negative COVID Test within 72 Hours. Masks required.
