The University of North Carolina System says Kevin Howell has been elected as the 15th chancellor of NC State University. Howell will become the first chancellor who also served as the student body president at NC State. Howell served as the senior vice president for external affairs for the UNC System Office from 2016 to 2018. Howell will begin his role on May 15.
