Lottery industry pushing states to take games online
Lottery companies are pushing state lotteries to take their sales online. To bolster its argument, the industry is heavily touting a study released Tuesday that says lotteries nationwide could increase sales by $14 billion. In North Carolina, the study says sales could more than double. But also keep this mind: The study was commissioned GTECH Corporation, a lottery technology company that touts itself as a "global leader in the world's online lottery business."
