Chiquita CEO Fernando Aguirre shows off a custom made banana putter. Cincinnati is losing something else to the Charlotte area because of the Chiquita relocation. The PGA tournament it sponsors is moving to the Club at Longview. The first thing Chiquita CEO Fernando Aguirre did when he stood to address the audience today was pull out a banana putter. "It's a beautiful Chiquita putter," he said. "Only one more exists in the world, other than the three that are in my home." The Chiquita Classic will be at the Club at Longview for at least three years starting in September. The tournament is on the Nationwide Tour, which is the PGA's second tier. The tournament will also benefit area charities. Aguirre said he has an interest in working with the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation as well as the local First Tee program. And he encouraged other groups to give his company a call. "So for those of you who know of charitable organizations who are interested, please let them know to reach out to us," he said. The Chiquita Classic will be held September 24th through the 30th. All four rounds will air on the Golf Channel.
