Dolores O'Riordan: After The Cranberries

Dolores O'Riordan.
Dolores O'Riordan.

Dolores O'Riordan gained plenty of notoriety as lead singer of the '90s alt-pop sensation The Cranberries, but with the release of her first solo album, she's looking to establish herself as a solo artist. The Cranberries sold more than 40 million albums worldwide, releasing five albums in an eight-year span, but after the release of 2001's Smell the Coffee, the band split up to move in new directions.

After The Cranberries, O'Riordan worked as a guest vocalist for a variety of artists, including composer Angelo Badalamenti, Zucchero and Jam & Spoon. Written and recorded at O'Riordan's homes in Canada and Ireland, her solo disc Are You Listening? was released in May.
