Mason Jennings On Mountain Stage

Mason Jennings left high school in Pittsburgh when he was 16. He wound up in his current home near Minneapolis, where he's released six full-length albums and started a family.

After his 2006 disc Boneclouds was issued by Modest Mouse leader Isaac Brock's Glacial Pace Records, Jennings secluded himself with a laptop and microphones to record the follow-up. The result, In the Ever, was released on Jack Johnson's Brushfire Records. In between albums, Jennings was recruited to record two Bob Dylan songs for the acclaimed Dylan biopic I'm Not There. Both "The Times They Are A-Changin'" and "The Lonesome Death of Hattie Carroll" appear on the film soundtrack.

In the Ever hadn't yet been released when Jennings came on Mountain Stage in 2007, but he previews the record with "How Deep Is That River" and "Your New Man."
