It appears that all of Gaston County 's libraries will remain open, just not as accessible. The county manager had proposed closing six of the county's nine libraries. But Gaston County commissioners have tentatively agreed on an alternative that instead cuts operating hours in half at nearly every library. Eight library branches would only be open three days a week, the Gaston Gazette reports. The main library in Gastonia would not be affected.
