City leaders are now offering less money to the Charlotte Knights for its proposed baseball stadium uptown. A Charlotte City council committee has approved a plan that would give the team $8.5 million for the stadium. That's $500,000 less than the plan originally called for. Under this new plan, the Knights would get less money from property taxes from development that's expected to crop up around the proposed stadium. The full city council still has to approve the revised plan. Council is expected to vote next month.
