The Charlotte Asian and Dragon Boat festivals took place Saturday at Ramsey Creek Park on Lake Norman.

Highlights of the events are cultural performances, food, crafts and dragon boat races. The first Charlotte Dragon Boat Race was held in 2006. Since then, the race has grown into a 40-plus team event with over 1,000 paddlers.
