Errors in the Classroom Every year on Columbus day, many Americans celebrate the great explorer who discovered American while others debate that history books have it wrong. We hold similar debates over the origins of Thanksgiving, the truth behind the reasons for civil war, Newton, gravity and the falling apple and many more examples of our childhood education. Our panel of guests today contend that textbooks often include errors, some of them major, in how we are taught History, Social Studies, Science and much more. We look at textbook accuracy, the process of textbook publishing and what we get wrong.
