New Arts Facilities in Charlotte Arts lovers know about the marquee facilities that have sprung up around Center City. They include Theatres like the Knight and NC Dance and museums such as the Harvey B. Gantt Center and the Bechtler. But two other sparkling and important spaces are popping up in the area. Longtime theatre company CAST has moved into a brand new space but continue their offbeat work with the opening of August: Osage County. Johnson C. Smith University has built a beautiful new, state of the art performing arts center and they have big plans for more. We'll learn about CAST and the center at JCSU.
