Sustainable Development: Charlotte & Around the World Sustainable Development isn't just a new, hopeful idea being tried in a few places around the US - it has a significant worldwide reach, from here, all the way to places in the Middle East, like Jordan. One of Jordan's sustainable development experts has made her way to North Carolina to learn more about such efforts being made here, and we'll meet Ruba Al-Zu'bi on the day that she visits a Charlotte example of Sustainable Development, ReVenture Park. We'll talk about Sustainable Development here and across the globe. Guests Tom McKittrick - President and Founder of Forsite Development, and the lead developer at ReVenture Park, a re-development of a shuttered chemical plant. Ruba Al-Zu'bi - Director of Environmental Sustainability for Jordan's Development and Free Zone Commission. She's an Eisenhower Fellow, a program involving professionals from all over the world to learn about how industries, governments, etc., work in other countries. She's been in NC for a few days (Raleigh), and is in Charlotte to look at ReVenture Park. Add and read comments
