Charlotte's inaugural Poet Laureate Junious 'Jay' Ward will captivate you with his powerful and substantive imagery, while The Aggie Poet Laureate Essence Connor-Barringer writes poetry that drive at the heart of not only the craft of poetry but also the emotions that fine poetry inspires. Don't miss the transformative impact of the words spoken by D.S. Will, the former department head of poetry at the Raleigh Film and Arts Festival, Award-winning poet Linda Orji seeks to empower, connect and educate through inventive language and self-discovery.
Enjoy dance performances by Moving Spirits Inc., a world-renowned dance company that seamlessly fuses African, Modern, and Ballet into breathtaking compositions. Prepare to be mesmerized as Robert Wilson of Dancing with Champagne and his dance partner Tiffany Jaye grace the stage with their elegant Urban Ballroom Dance choreography, blending grace and passion to create a visual spectacle.

Our event is once again curated and hosted by the author of 'I am a Dahomey Warrior,' Dionne D. Hunter. Her passion for making the arts accessible while still being grand shines through in every aspect of this event.
The always vivacious Laheelah Hunter will co-host, adding her infectious energy and charm to the evening.
Tickets are $15 for adults and free for youth 18 to 10 years old with a paying adult, thanks to a grant from the Arts and Science Council.
