The imagined and structural spaces winter/spring 2021 artist-in-residence Rehab El Sadek creates are based on inspiration and memory. Join the interactive conversation to understand El Sadek’s creative process in constructing place and the sources she uses, including Invisible Cities by Italo Calvino and contemporary and ancient Egyptian architecture. Then, she will lead the audience in a city map-building activity, envisioning an imaginary, fantastical city created through group visualization. How is it architecturally unique? What challenges inform its design? What do the inhabitants eat?
