With the use of lines in her work, winter/spring 2021 artist-in-residence Sharon Norwood unravels relationships between postcolonial structures, systems of power, and how they implicate assumptions of “the other”. Join Norwood and Jonell Logan, Creative Director at McColl Center, in a conversation on the notions of “otherness”. In questioning those systems that shape understanding of identity, Norwood will talk about the need to express the racial, social, political, and cultural histories of Black people in her work.
