CharlOz

CharlOz

CharlOz explores L. Frank Baum’s fairy tale timelessly reflects American values with its vast array of characters through a variety of experiences including:
- An opening talk by Gregory Maguire, author of Wicked, at the Knight Theater.
- Exhibits at the Projective Eye Gallery (at The Dubois Center at UNC Charlotte Center City) and the Popp Martin Student Union on campus
- Gaming and virtual reality experiences, hands-on creative opportunities, and discussions led by Oz experts from around the country in the UNC Charlotte’s J. Murrey Atkins Library
- Author talks and family activities at ImaginOn in Uptown
Vendors at The Market at 7th Street on Saturday and Sunday
- Unique presentations at The Dubois Center at UNC Charlotte Center City, including the premiere of His Majesty, The Scarecrow of Oz, with music provided by Ethan Uslan, and a presentation by Gita Dorothy Morena—L. Frank Baum’s granddaughter!
- There should be something for everyone and, hopefully, something that catches your interest. I could tell you more over the phone, Zoom or at a coffee shop. I’d love to find a way to make this a Queen City Nerve story.

Knight Theater, 7th Market Street, Dubois Center, ImaginOn, and UNC Charlotte Atkins Library
