FixaPlate tells the story of a Charlotte family packing up their Auntie’s home when she can no longer afford to live there. As they pack up, they discover recipes revealing the history of their home and family. Interspersed throughout scenes of the play, audiences will visit rooms that tell the story of Charlotte kitchens and gentrification through sound, paint, projections, and more.
