The Lake Norman Orchestra will present a free-admission concert on Sunday, April 27, 3 PM at the Joe V. Knox Auditorium at the Mooresville Citizen's Center. The 52-member all-volunteer full orchestra has been active in the Lake Norman area since 2002. This concert will feature music "from classical to classic." Classical adventures will include "Concerto for Horn in E-flat" by Richard Strauss and Copland's "Fanfare for the Common Man." The orchestra enjoys re-creating music from films such as "Pirates of the Caribbean," "The Empire Strikes Back," and the "Star Trek" series. Classic pop selections will include "Best of the Beatles," "Journey's Greatest Hits," and lots of "beach music." Be prepared for a little "latin" and ""classic country," too.
