The Lake Norman Orchestra presents a concert at Laurel Gray Winery in Hamptonvile, NC.
The Lake Norman Orchestra returns to beautiful Laurel Gray Vineyards in Hamptonville, NC for a Halloween-theme concert on Sunday, October 27 at 2 PM. The 50-member all-volunteer orchestra rehearses each Monday in Mooresville and has prepared a program with a wide variety of styles. Selections include "Radetzky March," "Thriller," "Themes from Scooby Doo, Ghostbusters, and The Monster Mash," "Frankenstein," "Selections from Phantom of the Opera," "Witchy Woman," "Selections from West Side Story" and "Halloween Spooktacular: A medley of "scary" classical music themes." The orchestra is particularly pleased to feature French Horn soloist, Mrs. Virginia Mautte during Concerto in E-flat, 3rd movement by Richard Strauss. The orchestra is also pleased to feature several vocal soloists, including Maria Ramirez on "Sing Your Own Song." The Lake Norman Orchestra will conclude their concert with the "lively" "Can Can" by French composer Georges Bizet. Mr. Samuel A. Kyzer is the "tall and witty" conductor of The Lake Norman Orchestra.
