Rick Santorum held a town hall meeting at the Magnolia Room in the Laurel Creek subdivison of Rock Hill, South Carolina. Republican presidential candidate Rick Santorum fired up his conservative base during two stops today in York County, South Carolina. WFAE's Tanner Latham was on hand for the events. Santorum's first stop was a town hall meeting at a subdivision clubhouse in Rock Hill. "People want to know what America is about," he said. "What is American exceptionalism? What are the values that hold us together? What makes the saying on the great seal, E Pluribus Unum, true? Out of many, one. What is the one? It's that. It's that we are people. We are children of God(applause) We are children of a creator(applause)" And he took several questions from the audience. "Senator Santorum, I am Reverend Michael Poore of the Rock Hill First Wesleyan Church, and I believe you are an answer to prayer and God's man to get this country back for our Lord," the minister said. "And my only question is, where can I purchase one of those sweater vests?" That's a reference to his trademark sweater vest, and yes, he is selling them on his website. In fact, he announced today a soon-to-be-released line of orange hunter's vests embroidered with his logo. Santorum's second stop in York County today was at a cafe called Popes at the White House. He also stopped at a cafe in York, and he was accompanied both places by a large group of reality television stars. Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar, from TLC's "19 Kids and Counting," are following Santorum through South Carolina. They only had four of their children with them today.
