This week, the Charlotte Observer has run a series of stories that reveals the pay off for many conventions is far short that what the Charlotte Regional Visitors Authority advertises. In many cases, the CRVA gives large incentives to attract conventions that end up costing the city money, at least in the short term. The Observer's Steve Harrison talks to WFAE's Julie Rose about his findings.
