Familiar Voice Takes Over the Mornings on WFAE

It's been a journey of patience and persistence for WFAE's Marshall Terry, from intern to local host of Morning Edition. Terry was named permanent host this week by News Director Greg Collard and Director of Content and Programming Dale Spear.

“It’s been a pleasure to watch Marshall grow into this position. He’s never hesitated to do whatever is asked of him, whether he’s hosting or writing copy for another host to read," said Collard. "Marshall has done so much at WFAE – it’s exciting to promote from within and have someone who has truly earned the job as host of WFAE’s Morning Edition.”

Seven years ago, Terry came to WFAE 90.7fm as an intern in the News Department. That turned into a full-time associate producer's position helping with the local production of Morning Edition and substituting for then-host Scott Graf. Most recently, Terry has been anchoring midday newscasts and serving as a substitute host for Morning Edition and All Things Considered.

Terry replaces Kevin Kneistedt, who has returned to Washington state.
