UNC Charlotte officials pushes back after video alleges secret DEI efforts

UNC Charlotte officials are pushing back after a conservative group called Accuracy in Media published what they say is a video that shows the school is surreptitiously pursuing banned DEI policies. The organization released a video Wednesday of a university employee saying her division continues to engage in DEI-related work, but under new names. The university released a statement saying the employee’s comments were inaccurate and that the university is complying with DEI-related policies and laws. The school says the employee has no policymaking or compliance authority and was not authorized to speak on the issue. The school says the employee in the video is no longer employed by the university.
