    There has been a murder at Granville Manor. Who did it? Audiences are invited to help solve the crime at our first-ever Murder Mystery Dinner Theatre presented by Matthews Playhouse of the Performing Arts and the Town of Indian Trail.

    Ticket price include dinner and a live performance of 'A Weekend in the Country', a quintessential “Who-Dunnit” murder mystery that tells the story of a peaceful weekend getaway hosted by a well-respected gentleman by the name Lord Granville. Or so we think. It’s all festive revelry until his invited group of unsavory characters begins to disappear one by one!

    Dinner will be served over intermission as you are invited to “vote” on who you think committed the crime! When the meal concludes, we’ll return our attention to the show just in time to reveal “who did it”! Bring your friends and secure your seats at the dinner table soon, participation is limited.

  • The Lake Norman Orchestra presents a concert at Mt. Zion United Methodist Church on March 30, 2025 at 6 PM.
    The Lake Norman Orchestra and Chamber Strings will present a free-admission concert at Mt. Zion United Methodist Church in Cornelius, NC on Sunday, March 30 at 6 PM. The 60-member all-volunteer full orchestra will present a wide variety of music. Classical fare will include "Bacchanale" by Saint-Saens, "William Tell Overture" by Rossini, and "Violin Concerto in D major, 3rd movement" by Beethoven. Sarah Bamford will be the featured soloist on this concerto piece. Songs from the Broadway stage include "The Impossible Dream," and selections from "West Side Story." Film music will include a medley of sounds from "Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl." The LKNO Chamber Strings will present pieces from Gustav Holst's "St. Paul Suite." The orchestra will also present several selections from pop music. Conductor Mr. Samuel A. Kyzer is completing his 4th year at the helm of The Lake Norman Orchestra.

This moving story about timeless love is an original musical theatre piece featuring beloved classics such as Cheek to Cheek, Young at Heart, Love & Marriage, I'm Gonna Live Till I Die and more. ​​Performances will take place May 10-11, 2024 at the VFW James Crump Post 2423 in Indian Trail, NC.

    "Audiences will laugh, cry and sing along as they enjoy performances by some of Charlotte's favorite musical theatre actors,” says Matthews Playhouse Executive Director, Sarah Baumgardner. “This collaboration with Indian Trail signifies our commitment to bringing innovative and engaging entertainment to our community."
