NAWA Championship Wrestling Presents “Boogie’s Last Dance” Featuring WWE Hall of Famer Jimmy Valiant’s Final Match

Lancaster, SC — April 25, 2026 — NAWA Championship Wrestling proudly presents “Boogie’s Last Dance,” a historic professional wrestling event headlined by the final in-ring appearance of WWE Hall of Famer Jimmy Valiant, known to fans worldwide as “The Boogie Woogie Man.”

The event will take place on Saturday, April 25, 2026, at Buford High School, located at 4290 Tabernacle Road in Lancaster.

At 84 years old, Valiant will lace up his boots one last time, stepping into the ring for what he promises will be his true farewell match after an incredible 62-year career spanning seven decades. His opponents for the evening have not yet been announced.

“Yes, this will be my final dance. I’ve retired before but this is truly my last dance. I’m honored to hang up my boots after 62 years of wrestling pro. I had over 15,000 matches and drove 6 million miles on U.S. highways, plus flying getting to those matches,” said Valiant.

Valiant last competed on September 23, 2023, in a six-man tag team match hosted by NAWA. Now, he returns for one final moment in front of the fans who have supported him throughout his legendary career.

“I want to dance down that aisle to my theme song, ‘Boy From New York City’ one last time to make wrestling in 7 decades from 1964 to 2026 a reality for me,” Valiant added.

NAWA promoter Michael Elliott emphasized the significance of the event:

“We are honored to have this moment be a part of NAWA. This will truly be a historic evening.”

“Boogie’s Last Dance” promises to be an unforgettable night as one of professional wrestling’s most beloved and charismatic figures takes his final bow.

The event welcomes the community to participate in-person or virtually, joining 20 local artists with groups of art lovers to create works of art together from a mystery kit of materials. The work of art created by each group will be truly unique based on the artist’s vision for the materials provided. One group could build mini sculptures while another may end up with collages or hanging mobiles. In the Citywide Art Lab, each group will be led by an artist, including Charlotte artists Cat Babbie, Victoria Byers, Paul Farmer, Amanda Foshag, Bunny Gregory, Abel Jackson, Will Jenkins, Taylor Lee, April Marten, Kenny Nguyen, Elizabeth Palmisano, and Morganne Van Voorhis. Ignite Nite will take place on Thursday, May 20, 2021 from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. and is free for all. There are three options to participate in this citywide evening of creativity: in-person at McColl Center, hosted at a group captain’s home, or at any location virtually. The program will be livestreamed and will include an opportunity for participants to join McColl Center’s Igniters community by donating to the Ignite Momentum campaign.
