  • The "Voting in 2020- You've Got Questions We've Got Answers" Town Hall will take place on Wednesday, October 21st from 6 pm-7 pm via zoom. The town hall will feature a panel of experts who will provide information on the most pressing questions regarding the 2020 election including how to register to vote, who can vote, how to track your ballot, etc. Our panelists include: The Executive Director of Mecklenburg County Board of Elections, Michael Dickerson, President of the League of Women Voters of Charlotte Mecklenburg, Delores Hurt, A current political science student at Johnson C. Smith University, and we will have a special message from former First Lady, Michelle Obama.

  • Andrew Finn Magill learned old time, bluegrass, and Irish music from the best fiddlers in the world while growing up at The Swannanoa Gathering in Asheville. He has gone on to headline at festivals including Celtic Connections in Glasgow Scotland, Malawi’s prestigious Lake of Stars Festival, and Milwaukee Irishfest. Having grown up immersed in all of these genres, The Scottish & Irish Roots of our American Fiddle tunes is an interactive concert that explores the intricate relationships between these genres and how they have influenced each other.
  • The virtual season kick-off of Music and Museum launches Sunday, October 25 at 6 p.m. and will be performed on the Bechtler's Outdoor Sculpture Terrace. Surrounded by sculptures from Richier, Hepworth, and Bill, the Bechtler Ensemble will dedicate this special concert in appreciation and honor of former Executive Vice President, Christopher Lawing, with music from British composer Vaughan Williams and French composer Jaques Ibert. The only farmers market in University City, shoppers will find fresh local produce, food preparation programs and live entertainment.
