Since 1947, BOWLES has lived as an American expatriate in Tangier, Morocco. He's best known for his novel, "The Sheltering Sky," . He's written many books. His latest is "Too Far From Home: Selected writings of Paul Bowles," (Ecco Press). BOWLES is 82 years old.
