The ACC Championship game between Clemson University and Notre Dame will be played at Bank of America Stadium on Saturday and ticket prices have skyrocketed from a year ago.
According to TicketIQ, a ticket event search engine, tickets for the game range from $872 to more than $2,500.
Last year, tickets for the championship game between Clemson and Virginia were as low as $61. Clemson won that game 62-17.
The Fighting Irish beat then top-ranked Clemson in a thrilling 47-40 double-overtime shootout earlier this season. But starting quarterback Trevor Lawrence was sidelined because of COVID-19, and spent the game watching from the sideline in a mask.
But the projected No. 1 pick in the 2021 NFL draft will be front and center in Saturday's highly anticipated rematch.
“He’s a proven winner,” said Notre Dame defensive end Daelin Hayes. “He’s played in a lot of big games. That calm, that cool. ... You can’t put a price on that experience.”
The game kicks off at 4 p.m. at Bank of America Stadium. Crowd size is limited because of coronavirus restrictions.
