On this installment of Creators at Carnegie, talented young soprano Audra McDonald debuts her new song cycle, "The Seven Deadly Sins," and several of her favorite tunes from the American popular songbook live onstage at Carengie's Zankel Hall.

McDonald was born in Berlin, Germany, and raised in Fresno, Calif. After graduating from New York's Juilliard School for the performing arts in 1993 she began her ascent on Broadway. In June 2004, McDonald won her fourth Tony Award for her portrayal of Ruth Younger in the current revival of Lorraine Hansberry's A Raisin in the Sun.

McDonald, who also won Tonys for her work in Carousel, Master Class and Ragtime, recently debuted in a non-singing role in the 2003 Lincoln Center production of Henry IV. She is set to return to Lincoln Center in a concert version of Stephen Sondheim's Passion in March 2005.
