Domestic Violence Protective Order Issued Against Catawba Trooper

A state trooper in Catawba County has been ordered to stay away from an ex-girlfriend. The News & Observer reports a domestic violence protective order has been issued against Senior Trooper Sean "Bobby" Lineberger. The order requires Lineberger must stay 100 yards away from the woman. Lineberger has been reassigned to desk duty. From the N&O: According to court records, the woman claims Senior Trooper Sean "Bobby" Lineberger stalked her in his patrol car and that he ran checks on the license plate numbers of people she spent time with. In her court filing, Erin Lee Banks included pages of text and Facebook messages where the trooper called her a "whore" and other derogatory names, even as she repeatedly asked to be left alone. Lineberger is stationed in Hickory.
