NC State is going old school with its football uniforms. Among the changes: "NC" is off the front of the jerseys. Now, they just say "State." Basketball uniforms will also have "State" on the front, just like its 1974 and 1983 national championship teams. "Our fans identify with 'State,' " Wolfpack athletic director Debbie Yow told the News & Observer. "That's who we are." Added defensive tackle defensive tackle J.R. Sweezy: "There's no nonsense, kind of like coach [Tom] O'Brien."
