To mark the 150th anniversary of the battle of Gettysburg, West Virginia singer-songwriter John A. Walsh composed a compelling song cycle of that tells the story of six historical characters, including Union General John Buford and Confederate General James Longstreet, whose lives were intertwined in a battle that proved to be one of the most pivotal events in U.S. history. To bring the project to life for this special Mountain Stage performance, Walsh is joined by West Virginia songwriting institution Todd Burge, gifted Ohio-based vocalist Jessica Baldwin, along with many of the of the same musicians who played on the recording. Host Larry Groce provides spoken word introductions for each song.
