Toad The Wet Sprocket On Mountain Stage

Toad the Wet Sprocket.
Toad the Wet Sprocket.

Despite its cheerfully obscure moniker — a reference to a Monty Python sketch — Toad The Wet Sprocket became a household name in the early '90s thanks to inescapable pop hits like "All I Want" and "Walk On The Ocean."

Singer Glen Phillips, guitarist Todd Nichols, bassist Dean Dinning, and drummer Randy Guss formed the group in 1986 in Santa Barbara, Calif., and made their first Mountain Stage appearance on the brink of their commercial breakthrough in the spring of 1992. In the 22 years since, the group has broken up, reunited, and recorded a crowd-funded album of new material, reaching its Kickstarter goal in less than 20 hours.

Here, Toad The Wet Sprocket plays songs from that album, New Constellation, along with several old favorites.
