Eric Bibb On Mountain Stage

Eric Bibb.
Eric Bibb.

Acoustic blues master Eric Bibb makes his fifth visit to Mountain Stage, recorded live at the Culture Center Theater on West Virginia's State Capitol grounds. The product of an amazing musical heritage, Bibb grew up around legends like Pete Seeger, Odetta, Richie Havens, Joan Baez and Bob Dylan — all thanks to his father, New York folksinger Leon Bibb.

Eric Bibb actually began his own musical career in Europe: He became well known at blues and folk festivals in London, Cambridge and Dublin, and eventually settled in Sweden, where he's also worked as a music and voice teacher.

Bibb sings and plays acoustic guitar here, with a set that includes his signature mix of originals and reworked blues standards. He's accompanied by multi-instrumentalist Michael Jerome Browne on fiddle and guitars.
