FEMA says it will reimburse up to 75% of North Carolina’s firefighting expenses to combat the Sam Davis Road Wildfire in Swain County. The fire has threatened approximately 70 homes. The county declared a state of emergency over the weekend. The fire also threatened communication, electric and other critical infrastructure.
